Pets are inspirational creatures and surely make living life on planet Earth a more joyous experience.

Most pet lovers develop special relationships with their animal companions no matter how exotic they may be, fancy rats, snakes, frogs, turtles, dogs, cats, birds, equine, alligators, guinea pigs, etc. etc. The variety of animals that have been domesticated over the millennium is phenomenal. Pets are inspirational creatures and surely make living life on planet earth a more joyous experience. Pets in most cultures today have become family members and treated as such. Pets are commonly used to help the blind or handicapped, they are used in hospitals to interact with patients as they help reduce stress, they are used by the police, military, medical practitioners to detect cancer and other diseases, they control rodent populations, herd sheep, hunt etc. etc.  Keep in mind when photographing for this project what it is that makes your pets relationship with you and your family special. For the most part pets love the attention you will give them and will reward you with some great images if you just take the time. Don’t hesitate to jot down some catch phrases that may add insight to your image. Also include the name of your pet.

Although making photographs of pets is much like trying to photograph young children, it takes time and patience to catch the right moment.
The end result for this project much like the ones to follow will be; the best images will be compiled into books and e-books which will be released and sold from Phonagraphy.com. The best video’s will be edited into three to five minutes shorts and featured on Phonagrapy.com. Phonagraphers whose images are picked to be published as part of the book will be paid for their efforts. A good portion of the money raised from book and video sales will go into funds that will be dedicated to supporting the arts.

Have fun with the Pet project and tell your friends, neighbors, relatives, classmates etc. etc. about Phonagraphy.com

“Hear our humble prayer, O God, for our friends the animals, especially for animals who are suffering; for any that are hunted or lost or deserted or frightened or hungry; for all that must be put to death. We entreat for them all Thy mercy and pity, and for those who deal with them we ask a heart of compassion and gentle hands and kindly words. Make us, ourselves, to be true friends to animals and so to share the blessings of the merciful.”
